The National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC) is thrilled to announce it has made several key updates to their website, including an online interactive discussion platform for sharing news updates and calls to action within the industry.

NAAMC has spent this past year recruiting members and working on finding ways to make a strong and effective impact on the appraisal industry and all parties involved in the appraisal process. One of NAAMC’s most important goals for their second year of operation is to help provide a medium where members of the industry can come together to address issues, provide relevant industry information, and to share articles and thoughts on pressing topics.

The National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC) announces tiered pricing options available July 1st, 2013.

The non-profit organization NAAMC (National Association of Appraisal Management Companies) is pleased to announce the release of its new membership pricing structure for Fiscal Year 2013.

Last month NAAMC’s Board of Directors voted to expand its membership structure providing options for appraisal management companies (AMCs) of all sizes. NAAMC members agreed that the most important role of the organization is enhancing public trust in the role of AMCs, and that the best way to continue to educate and advance the industry is to provide as many AMCs as possible an opportunity to have a voice in the organization. Chairperson of the NAAMC Membership Committee, Cindi Harris, managed the process of implementing the new membership pricing structure on behalf of the organization.

The National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC) is thrilled to announce its upcoming 1 year anniversary on June 27th, 2013. On June 27th, 2012, AMCs throughout the country came together in Providence, RI, to formally establish the National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting innovation and transparency throughout the appraisal industry.

NAAMC indicates it has high hopes for FY 2013, with goals to continue to bring positive change and harmony to the real estate appraisal industry. The group has spent the past year reaching out to lawmakers to request reasonable changes for the benefit of the industry as a whole, in addition to showing its support with regards to changes in legislature which NAAMC feels are in line with the organization’s mission, which is to foster cooperation and communication among all parties within and surrounding the appraisal industry; including Appraisers, Appraisal Management Companies, Lenders, and Third-Party Vendors.

Several representatives from the National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC) attended the recent Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation - AMC Registration Program, sponsored by the Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (ICAP). The program took place on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 8:30am to 3:30pm CST, at 205 West Wacker Street, Chicago, IL.

The AMC Registration Program was presented by Brian Weaver, Appraisal Coordinator for the Real Estate Appraisal Administration Division in Chicago, IL, who has been an appraiser in Illinois for nearly 30 years. The Program was created with the purpose of educating appraisal management companies (AMCs) about the details of the Illinois Appraisal Management Company Registration Act and its corresponding administrative rules. AMCs from all over the nation were encouraged to attend in order to learn how to appropriately conduct appraisal business in the state of Illinois. The program discussed specific topics including; who must register, time limits and forms, policies and guidelines, quality control procedures and more.

The National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC) is thrilled to announce that on March 7, 2013, the Board of Directors for NAAMC voted unanimously to endorse the State of Oregon House Bill 2061.

This bill, dated March 1, 2013, serves to amend the Oregon law ORS 674.225, with the purpose of reducing the amount of time that an appraisal management company (AMC) has to make payments to an independent contractor appraiser for completion of an appraisal or appraisal review assignment. The endorsed House Bill 2061 reads as follows:

The National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC) is pleased to announce it will host an informational reception for membership on the first evening of the 2012 Valuation Expo, Thursday, November 8, 2012. This year’s Valuation Expo is being held from November 8-10, 2012, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter, located at 101 Bowie Street in San Antonio, TX.

In addition to hosting an informational reception for membership, there will be several representative members of NAAMC hosting booths for their individual companies at the expo, including: Source AM, Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services and Kirchmeyer & Associates, Inc. Jim Kirchmeyer, Chief Executive Officer of Kirchmeyer & Associates, Inc., and a Founding Member of NAAMC, will be speaking at the event, and George Panichas, Chairman and CEO of Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services and NAAMC’s President, will be on an industry panel at the expo. Although there is no separate booth for NAAMC at the event, NAAMC members in attendance will be supporting and providing information on the non-profit organization at their individual booths.

Announcing the inaugural membership launch of the National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC).

The newly formed non-profit trade association, the National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC) is pleased to announce its 2012/2013 Membership Drive. The goal of the Drive is to increase awareness of the organization and its mission to expand transparency and trust throughout the Mortgage industry. Membership is open to any individual/organization impacted by ever-changing Mortgage industry legislation.

Officially formed in late July 2012, several months’ pre-launch due diligence was completed by the sixteen Founding Members of the National Association of Appraisal Management Companies (NAAMC). This non-profit trade association is officially incorporated in Delaware and will maintain Headquarters in Providence, RI. “The formation of NAAMC was long overdue,” stated Danielle Gatsos, chairperson for the NAAMC Public Relations Team.
